Jim Kelly, QB for the Buffalo Bills, lead his team to four consecutive Super Bowls, but won none of them. That is heartbreaking for everyone who had hope in them, fans and players alike.
Let’s start with the Wide Right Super Bowl in 1991, against the New York Giants. This was probably the most devastating of them all, because the Buffalo kicker Scott Norwood missed a game-winning 47-yard field goal by a mile. That was Jim Kelly’s first SB, resulting in a 19-20 game.
The second was a loss to the Washington Redskins, which wasn’t nearly as close of a game as the previous one. In 1992, they lost 37-42.
Next came the Dallas Cowboys, where they were completely obliterated 52-17. Another heartbreak for Kelly.
Finally, the Cowboys and Bills faced off again, resulting in a fourth loss for Kelly, 30-13.
There’s your facts for today!
See you at the next snap,
Tatum.
