There was a bit of a shock to football fans when the Houston Texans entered the NFL lineup in 2002. And that caused the Seattle Seahawks to lose their place in the AFC.
The Seahawks were founded in 1976, where they played one year in the NFC West – where they are currently stationed. But the year after, in 1977, they got transferred over to the AFC, where their most common rivals were the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders, and the San Diego Chargers.
When the Texans were added into the picture, they got moved back to the NFC, and added back into the NFC West Division, where they still are today.
There’s your fact for the day!
See you at the next snap,
Tatum
