About

Hey! Glad you’re here and reading this. My name is Tatum, and welcome to the Write Zone- a football and writing blog made by me, a fourteen year old girl with a dream. (Well, actually, several dreams)

My love for writing began early. As a kid, I filled blank pages with stories about my dog and the imaginary adventures he would embark on. What started as simple storytelling grew into something much bigger. Since then, I’ve written five full-length novels (with a sixth in progress) and am working toward publication.

Football entered my life more recently, but it quickly became just as important. What began as a casual game I watched with my dad turned into a deep fascination with strategy, player development, team dynamics, and the intensity that defines the NFL. Sundays became less about just watching and more about studying — learning the game, understanding the plays and reasons behind them, and forming my own analysis.

Eventually, I realized I didn’t have to choose between my two passions. I could combine them.

My goal is to build a future in football journalism, blending analytical insight with strong storytelling. This blog is where I’m developing that voice. Here, you’ll find football breakdowns, bold predictions, and glimpses into my creative writing as I continue working toward publication.

Thanks for being here.

See you at the next snap,

Tatum

I’m Tatum

When you hear the word ‘football,’ you’re probably not envisioning a fourteen-year-old girl who wears sweatshirts and spends all of her time writing novels or, you guessed it, watching NFL. The Write Zone is a place where you can catch up on football news or read some bits of my unpublished novels, and maybe The Write Zone will change the way you view both writing and football.
